Frequently asked questions

Do the guides stick to the facts?

Guides are instructed to rely only on reference data (country name, capital, languages, currency) and the Wikipedia summary of the exact topic you chose, and to say so when they are not sure. Sensitive history is presented neutrally.

Can I learn the language of every country?

On every turn the guide teaches one phrase in the local language, with romanization and meaning, read aloud by your device's voice. Tap “Try saying it” to repeat it and get corrected. For the 5 main languages (English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German) the phrase is also saved to your notebook.

Can I trust what guides say about visas and work?

Guides only give general guidance and always remind you to check the official websites of embassies and government agencies; they also warn you about fraudulent brokers.
